Acceptance of matchmaking tools in coworking spaces: an extended perspective

Abstract An extended technology acceptance model for matchmaking tools in coworking spaces is presented and tested among 92 German coworkers. Advancing previous research, hedonic community-related aspects are integrated into a framework based on the unified theory of use (UTAUT2). Coworkers emphasize tool’s productivity aspects, which positively moderated by their sense community. Hedonic motivation (HM) personal innovativeness contribute to usage intention, while effort expectancy not driver. The influence HM negatively community, suggesting that favorable social atmosphere explorable person acts as partial substitute enjoyment tool usage. Surprisingly, satisfaction with face-to-face activities does affect perception tool.
